Congratulations to Senior Sergeant Ian Mathewson who has been awarded Project Manager of the year (Tasmania Chapter) by the Australian Institute of Project Management.

His project, PINS, (an electronic Police infringement notice system) also scored two awards at the same ceremony, in the categories for ICT/Telecommunications and Small Projects.

The PINS application is recognised as an Australian first; doing away with paper tickets and integrating mobile technology with frontline policing.

Senior Sergeant Ian Mathewson was recognised for his commitment to emerging technologies and professional approach to project management.
