In response to a statement released today by Mr Michael Mansell, Tasmania Police can confirm that two youths were held in custody during an investigation into allegations of burglary and stealing offences.

All legislative and procedural matters were adhered to in regards to the youths’ detention and subsequent presentation before court; including contact with family members.

No complaints have been received regarding police conduct.

The youths were charged with Aggravated Burglary and Stealing.
