In the early hours of Thursday 23 February 2012, Launceston Police intercepted an unreported stolen Toyota van.  The occupants of the vehicle were two 17 year old Launceston youths. 

Both youths have been interviewed and charged with a number of crimes including the attempted stealing of a number of motor vehicles and have been bailed to appear in the Launceston Youth Justice court at a later date.

Police are concerned that vehicles are being left insecure.  It is timely to remind everyone to ensure your vehicles are locked and any valuables are secure and kept out of sight.
