A 17 year old male was extradited from Perth, Western Australia over the weekend and charged in relation to the Aggravated Armed Robbery of a taxi driver in Hobart in the early hours of 10th of January this year.

The driver was confronted by two males when he arrived at an address in West Hobart about 4.20 am that morning. He was threatened with knives by both offenders before being robbed of an amount of cash and personal possessions.

A 15 year old youth was also charged in January in relation to this matter.

Hobart Detectives flew to Perth last Thursday and returned with the youth on Saturday evening. He appeared in the Hobart Youth Justice Court on Sunday morning and was remanded in custody to appear again later this month.
