At 7:45 pm on Monday 28 February 2011, a 17 year old male escaped from Ashley Youth Detention Centre.

The youth was recaptured on Porter’s Bridge Road at Exton just prior to midnight.

The search for the youth involved 15 police officers, AYDC personnel and the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter.
