Launceston Police last night charged a 17 year old youth with a number of offences after a taxi driver was assaulted by a passenger who refused to pay his fare.  The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, 5 November.

The 17 year old youth appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court earlier today and has been remanded in custody on charges of assault; destroy property and breach of bail.
