YOUTH CHARGED WITH GRAFFITI OFFENCES

A 15-year-old youth from Oakdowns was charged yesterday by Bellerive police with two counts of Destroy Property.

The charges relate to two incidents in Lauderdale where, on two occasions, 13 parked Metro buses were damaged substantially by graffiti inside and out.

The cost to clean the graffiti has been estimated at $15,000.

The youth has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice Court at a later date.
