On the 22^nd of November 2012, a 16 year old male youth was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery.

About 12.00pm on Tuesday the 20^th of November 2012, the youth entered the Chinese Circulation Therapy, Elizabeth St, Launceston, armed with knife. He demanded money from an employee and subsequently ran from the store with a quantity of cash.

About 10.30pm on Wednesday the 21st of November 2012, the youth entered Video City, Bathurst St, Launceston, armed with a knife. He produced the knife to an employee behind the service desk and demanded money from the till. He subsequently ran from the store with a quantity of cash.

The youth was arrested by uniform police a short time later.

He is to appear in the Youth Justice Court on the 22^nd of November 2012.
