On 19 January 2011 about 11.15pm police were called to an incident at Clarence Point Road at Clarence Point where a 47-year-old man had received multiple stab wounds to the torso and neck as a result of an altercation with a 41-year-old woman and a youth.

The man was conveyed to the Launceston General Hospital where he is being treated for multiple lacerations.

Both the woman and youth were subsequently interviewed by police, charged with one count each of Wounding and bailed to appear in the Launceston Court of Petty Sessions at a later date.
