At approximately 4:20am on Wednesday the 23^rd December 2015, police were called to Russell Avenue Ulverstone in relation to the stabbing of a 44 year old woman.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene, before being conveyed to the North West Regional Hospital for further treatment. Her injuries are not life threatening.

A 21 year old Ulverstone man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
