At about 6:30am on Sunday January 23 2011, a 34-year-old Launceston man was assaulted in Cameron Street, Launceston, receiving minor wounds.

Its believed that two young males approached the 34 year old on the street where a verbal altercation took place prior to the assault.  The suspects were last seen heading in the direction of St John Street.

The 34 year old was conveyed to Launceston General Hospital where he was treated and discharged a short time later.

One male is described as being 5’2”, slim build, sandy coloured scruffy hair and wearing black track pants.

The second male is described as being 5’5” and wearing a black cap.
