Wounding at George Town
During the afternoon of 23 November 2011 police were called to a disturbance in Parish Crescent, George Town.
On arrival a male was located with a large laceration to the head, allegedly caused by a blow from a Tomahawk.
A 41-year-old George Town man was arrested by police at the scene and has been charged with one count of Wounding relating to the incident.
The male has been detained and is to appear in the Launceston Magistrates court on 24/11/11.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at the LGH, his injuries are not considered life threatening.
