In the early hours of Thursday December 16, a male occupant of a residence at East Launceston disturbed two males attempting to steal property from his yard.

The male has approached the two people and was subsequently stabbed twice to the torso.

He received non life threatening injuries and was treated at Launceston General Hospital.

The suspect is described as being in his early 20’s, about 6ft tall, slim build with ginger hair, scruffy ginger bead and freckles.
