At 2:30pm on Wednesday 28 November 2012 police were called to attend the old Australian Paper Pulp Mill site, located on the Bass highway at Burnie in relation to a partial roof collapse.

A 54 year old male was struck by some falling debris but only sustained minor injuries.  He did not require hospital treatment.

Workplace Standards were notified and will be attending the scene.

Work has ceased onsite until an assessment can be done.

Burnie Police attended as well as Tasmanian Ambulance Service and the Tasmanian Fire Service.
