Woman fined and ordered to leave Tasmania for COVID offence
A 28-year-old Victorian woman has been fined $1557 for failing to comply with the direction of an emergency management worker.
The woman arrived in Tasmania by plane on 9 November without approval. When questioned at the border, the woman stated that she had travelled from a low-risk area, however, police discovered this information to be false and she was placed in hotel quarantine as an unauthorised arrival. The woman was directed to leave the state and did so on Wednesday night. |
