Woman charged with Rosny bus mall wounding
A 37-year-old woman has been charged with wounding a 14-year-old boy following an altercation in the Rosny bus mall on Saturday afternoon.
At around 3:20pm, an altercation occurred between a number of people, which resulted in a 14-year-old youth allegedly being stabbed to his upper body.
The boy was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital, where he underwent surgery and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The woman has been charged with one count of wounding and has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
This was isolated incident between parties known to each other. There was no threat directed to the wider community.
Police regularly patrol areas like the Rosny bus mall and encourage people to report anti-social behaviour.
