Woman, 83, dies in Sandy Bay crash
Sadly, an 83-year-old woman has died following a crash on St Canice Avenue, Sandy Bay today.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 10:30 am.
Initial inquiries indicate the woman was exiting the St. Canice retirement village in Sandy Bay when her vehicle, a Holden Cruze hatchback, failed to negotiate a left-hand bend in the road and collided with a residential villa. No one else was injured in the collision.
Hobart Uniform, Forensic Services and Crash Investigation Services attended the scene and conducted an investigation into the circumstances of collision.
Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and loved ones. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
