The Coroner is currently investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman at Glenorchy on the day of the state election 2021, Saturday 01 May 2021.

The fall occurred at the Glenorchy Primary School when the woman fell from her wheelchair at the Kensington Street entrance as she was entering the facility to vote. The woman fell from her chair into the sunken seating area, outside of the office.

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the event, particularly just prior to the incident, to contact Senior Constable Alisha Barnes from the Southern Coroner’s Office on 61657127 (business hours 8am – 4pm) and outside these hours please call 131444.
