Witness sought to assault, Launceston
Police are seeking witnesses to a serious assault which occurred at about 3am on Saturday the 19th June 2010 on the corner of George and Paterson Streets, Launceston.
A man crossed the road from the taxi rank in George Street, approached the victim who was standing near the Prickly Cactus Restaurant, and hit him several times to his head causing numerous fractures.
The suspect is described as being about 183cm tall, with short blonde hair, clean shaven, lean muscular build, and wearing a white coloured T-shirt with a black design on the front.
Police are also interested in speaking to the occupants of a silver coloured 3 door hatch which was in George Street at the time of this assault.
