Detectives from Hobart CIB are continuing to enquire into the circumstances surrounding the alleged rape of a teenage girl in a Taxi in the early hours of Friday morning 16 November 2012.

Detectives are seeking to speak with a young woman who was walking along Sandy Bay Road in the direction of Taroona around midnight that morning.  They believe that the woman walked past the Wrest Point Casino shortly after midnight and may be able to assist them with their enquiries (as a potential witness).

The woman is described as;

• Believed to be in her twenties
• Blonde hair
• Wearing black leggings with a denim skirt, black top, black beanie and sneakers
• Carrying a black bag

The woman or anyone knowing her identity is asked to contact Hobart CIB on 6230 2603 as soon as possible due to the nature of the matter being investigated.
