Currently West Tamar Highway near Tamar Marine is closed to all south bound traffic. This closure is expected until 10am on 8 June 2016.

This will cause major traffic congestion and prolonged delays due to required traffic detours through Trevallyn. It is expected that delays of up to 1.5 hour are expected on West Tamar in peak hour morning traffic.

It is strongly advised motorist in Riverside and West Tamar that need to enter Launceston consider travelling on the East Tamar Highway via the Batman Bridge.
