Warning to dog owners in Weymouth
Tasmania Police is investigating a number of deliberate dog baitings in the small northern coastal town of Weymouth.
In the last two months there have been five reports of dogs being deliberately baited with an unknown poison. Three of these dogs have died as a result of this deliberate and cruel act.
Police as asking that dog owners who live in the area or those intending to visit the area keep a close eye on their pets, and ensure that they only consume food that they know to be safe.
Symptoms of the poisoning include convulsions and vomiting.
