Glenorchy CIB are currently investigating a deliberately lit fire which destroyed three vehicles and damaged others at the Derwent Park Trade Clearance Centre located at 70 Sunderland Street, Derwent Park.

The fire started in one of the vehicles and quickly spread to surrounding vehicles.

The fire was extinguished by Tasmania Fire Service, however had already caused serious damage.

It is believed that the fire was started at around 11.45pm on Monday night (08/09/2014).

Police are seeking any information from the public who may have seen anyone suspicious in Derwent Park Road or Sunderland Street at the relevant time, to call Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Glenorchy CIB.
