On Thursday 19^th April 2018 approximately 10:55am police attempted to intercept a blue Toyota Yaris on Brooker Highway, New Town, in relation to a criminal offence.

The vehicle failed to stop for police and was later located abandoned in the car park at Risdon Brook Dam. Multiple police resources attended the area in an attempt to locate the male driver who had fled the vehicle. The male driver was later located in Old  Beach and is assisting police with enquiries in relation to this incident.
