Police are continuing their search for missing Penguin woman Angela Joy Jeffrey in the area to the south of the Narawntapu National Park, West of Bakers Beach Road in the State’s north.

Mrs Jeffrey was reported missing from the Penguin area on Wednesday 1 June 2016.

An extensive search has been underway involving Police and the SES both on foot, in four wheel drives and on ATVs, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and another utilising thermal imaging equipment, Tasmanian Mounted search and rescue, a search and rescue dog, family members and volunteers.

Police would like to thank the overwhelming number of volunteers who have come forward to help – however due to prevailing weather conditions and the large numbers of volunteers, no additional volunteers are required for safety reasons.
