Police remain at an address in Aloomba Crescent, Herdsmans Cove following reports of a wounding earlier this afternoon.

A man has received injuries believed to be from a firearm and has been taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.

Aloomba Crescent and Calvert Cresent are currently closed to members of the public

Derwent Park Road is now clear.

Police believe the two locations are linked to the wounding and are investigating a specific line of enquiry.
