This morning an excavator is continuing earthworks at the site of the Scenic Hill Road dam at Huonville.

The earthworks being undertaken to divert any water from entering the dam.

The water level is now 1 metre below the hole in the dam wall.  Works will also be undertaken to repair the damaged wall.

Tasmania Police monitored the water level in the dam overnight to ensure the safe level was maintained.
