At approximately 12:48am on Monday 19 September police were called to a structure fire at unit 1/7 Charleston Place Glenorchy.

On arrival the main bedroom to the unit was engulfed with flames. Initial enquiries revealed the unit to be un-occupied at the time of the fire. 

The fire was quickly extinguished by TFS and fire damage was restricted to the main bedroom, however the entire unit suffered severe smoke damage. Damage was estimated at around $90,000.

The cause of the fire could not be established and police and fire service investigators will attend the scene this morning to conduct investigations.
