Ulverstone Police and Detectives from Western Crime and Drug Investigations have today charged a 34 year old Ulverstone man with intentionally lighting a number of vegetation fires in the Ulverstone area.  

The charges relate to fires at Stubbs Road, Turners Beach, Mannings Jetty Road and Isandula Road at Gawler and Beach Road at Ulverstone all of which occurred in February of this year.

Police would like to thank the members of the public who provided valuable information and assistance in this matter and would like to speak to any additional witnesses who may have information regarding these fires.
