Shortly after 9:00am on Monday 18 February 2013 police attended the scene of a single vehicle crash on Leven Street Ulverstone, near Walker Street.

Upon police arrival at the scene it was established that a white Holden Commodore sedan had collided with a building. Police, with the assistance of witnesses, performed CPR on the 41 year old male driver until relieved by members of Ambulance Tasmania. The driver was unable to be revived.

A section of Leven Street was closed for a period of time while police conducted a scene examination.

Investigations into the cause of the cause of the crash are continuing.
