U-Turn Graduation Number 44
The 44th Graduation of The U-Turn Program participants will occur today.
The U-Turn program is designed to break the cycle of re-offending by providing pathways for employment and training and using restorative justice approaches to address levels of social disadvantage.
The seven participants in this program have committed their new skills, time and learning into restoring a Suzuki Hatch for presentation to a victim of car theft.
Ms McKenzie is from Beauty Point and has unfortunately had her vehicle stolen twice. She will travel down to Hobart to take place in the presentation.
“We congratulate the graduates and encourage them to take their new skills and confidence and work towards new goals and targets,” said Commander Tony Cerritelli.
Police officers, U-Turn Program Sponsors and supporters will be present to recognise the effort and commitment of the participants of Course 44.
