Two youths charged in relation to aggravated armed robbery at Lutana
Police have charged a 17-year-old male youth and a 16-year-old male youth with Aggravated Armed Robbery following an incident at the United Service Station in Lutana around 5.15am on Wednesday morning (18 September).
The youths have also been charged with two counts each of Burglary and Stealing relating to incidents at Rosny Park and Mornington during the evening of 17 September.
They have been detained and will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court (Youth Justice Division) this morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nick Bowden of Glenorchy CIB thanked members of the public who responded to the police appeal for information saying, “the assistance provided by the community was of great help to us in solving this case”.
