At about 4.32pm, Thursday 11 June 2015 Devonport Police attended a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Don Road and Lovett Street, Devonport.

The 81 year old male driver of a silver Toyota Corolla was treated at the scene by Tas. Ambulance.

A 24 year old male passenger of a blue Nissan Bluebird was extricated from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to the North West Regional Hospital. He has since been flown to Melbourne for further treatment.

The driver of the Nissan Bluebird exited the vehicle and fled the scene prior to Police arrival.

The intersection was blocked and traffic diverted for approximately two hours.

Police are seeking the assistance from members of the public who may have witnessed the crash or observed the vehicle driving prior to the crash occurring. Any persons with information are asked to contact either Devonport Police on 64784011 or Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
