Approximately 12.50pm on Monday, 23rd January 2012, police were called to attend a two vehicle crash at the intersection of the Domain Highway and Lower Domain Road.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a black Forester 4WD which was turning right from the Lower Domain Road onto the Domain Highway failed to give way to a blue Ssang Yong Utility which was travelling in a westerly direction.

The driver of the forester was a 23 year old female with a four month old child passenger. The driver of the Ssang Yong was a 47 year old male with no passengers.

No person involved received any serious injuries.

A traffic management plan was implemented and motorists were diverted away from the area for approximately one hour while Tasmania Police, Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Ambulance crews attended to the scene.
