Two Vehicle Crash – Bass Highway – Penguin
Police are investigating a crash which occurred in the west bound lanes of the Bass Highway, Penguin near the South Road overpass, at around 6:30pm on 12th September 2015.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, a grey Holden Commodore Sedan and a white Holden Sedan. Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the impact. Police, Tasmania Ambulance and the Fire Service attended the scene. Both drivers were treated for minor injuries and shock.
It is believed that both speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the crash.
A 34 year old woman from Ulverstone has been charged with a drink driving offence in connection with this matter and investigations are continuing.
Police are interested in speaking with anyone who observed either vehicle immediately prior to the crash.
