On Tuesday 20^th December 2016 approximately 3.55 pm emergency services attended a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Huon Highway and Sandfly Road, Longley.

The driver of a red Mitsubishi hire car entered the intersection and failed to give way to a black Subaru travelling in an easterly direction in the 100 kmph zone causing that vehicle to leave the road and collide with a light pole, shearing it off at the base before leaving the road and colliding with a tree.

The occupants of the Mitsubishi received no injuries.

The occupants of the Subaru where taken by ambulance to Department of Emergency Management where they received treatment and are in a stable condition.

Kingston police are conducting further investigations and would like to speak to any witness’s that have not already come forward.
