Two people have been charged with wounding and assault following an incident in Bridgewater yesterday afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to Green Point Road, Bridgewater about 3:40pm yesterday after a 39-year-old man was assaulted.

The man was reportedly hit multiple times with a glass bottle, before being struck with a motor vehicle.

He suffered lacerations to his head and face and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 55-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and charged last night.

Both are expected to appear in court in Hobart today.
