Two people charged after Devonport drug seizure
A man has been charged with multiple drug-related offences after police seized quantities of drugs, cash, and suspected stolen property yesterday.
The 43 year old Devonport man was arrested after being intercepted by police while riding an electric scooter on Don Road just before 3pm Tuesday 10 December.
Police located and seized a quantity of cash believed to be proceeds of crime, as well as a large gardening hook.
During a subsequent search of a Devonport residence, police located and seized quantities of methamphetamine, cannabis, ammunition, and a significant quantity of property believed to have been stolen.
The Devonport man has been charged with multiple drug-related offences, as well as possessing a dangerous article in a public place, and possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime and property suspected of being stolen.
A 37 year old Devonport woman was also arrested and charged with minor drug offences.
They were both bailed to appear in court in February.
