At approximately 05.20am this morning Police and emergency services were called to attend the scene of a single vehicle crash on the Midland Highway approximately 500 metres south of Glen Morey Road, Woodbury. The vehicle was a fully laden Mack truck carting logs. The truck had rolled onto its side coming to rest across both lanes of traffic, spilling the logs onto the roadway.

As a result of the crash the male driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was conveyed to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment.

The highway was blocked in both directions for approximately five hours whilst heavy moving equipment was brought in to remove both the truck and associated debris.
