Training Exercise Woolnorth
On 26 and 27 March, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service officers, along with staff from Hydro Tasmania will be conducting a training exercise on the Woolnorth Property in North West Tasmania.
Residents of Circular Head can expect an elevated level of activity by emergency services for the two days.
The scenario for the exercise will be based around an explosive incident on a wind turbine and will involve Search and Rescue officers working at heights. Bomb Scene Examination and Forensic Officers will conduct complex scene examinations and victim recovery scenarios.
“The opportunity for specialist units to test their skills and equipment and work together with other agencies is important in the preparedness for the management of major incidents,” said Inspector Kim Steven.
