Trail Bike Crash – North Scottsdale
At approximately 11:30am on Sunday 9 June 2019 a 14 year old male was riding trail bikes with a friend when he crashed his trail bike into a barbed wire cattle fence on Old Waterhouse Road, North Scottsdale.
Tasmania Police, SES, Tas Fire and Ambulance Tasmania attended the scene. The male was airlifted by the Police Rescue Helicopter to Royal Hobart Hospital where he was placed on a ventilator. The male sustained a closed head injury, and facial and wrist fractures.
No other vehicles are believed to have contributed to the crash. Investigations into the crash are continuing.
