In further developments into a lengthy investigation headed by Southern Drug Investigation Services, Tasmania Police have commenced proceedings in respect to the seizure of proceeds of crime generated from the alleged trafficking of methylamphetamine by a Nugent couple.

During the searches conducted so far, police have located several items of relevance to the investigation.  Police have also located considerable assets alleged to be derived from the commission of the crime.  Investigations remain ongoing.

The couple have been formally charged and will be appearing in an after hours court in Hobart on the evening of Thursday 17 November 2011.  The couple are charged with the crime of trafficking in methylamphetamine from September 2010 until November 2011.
