Traffic Incidents at Glenorchy

Glenorchy Police have attended three motor vehicle accidents involving pedestrians or cyclists in a 24 hour period.

Just before 1pm on Tuesday the 4th December, a 61 year old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was turning at the intersection of Terry Street and Main Road, Glenorchy.

Just before 9:30am this morning, a 72 year old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle reversing on Main Road, Moonah.

At around midday today a 48 year old female cyclist was struck by a vehicle whilst she was crossing the bike track on Elwick Road.

All three persons were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police would like to take this opportunity to remind all road users to be vigilant and on the lookout for each other, especially leading up to Christmas period when there is an increased volume of pedestrians and vehicles.
