Traffic Crash – East Tamar Highway, Mowbray

At about 2:30pm on Thursday 21 November 2013, a 2000 green Kia wagon was travelling south on the East Tamar Highway past the Mowbray Link Road when it collided with a 1997 green Holden Commodore sedan which was turning onto the East Tamar Highway.

The three occupants of the vehicles were transported to the Launceston General Hospital.  The 80 year old female passenger in the Holden is in a serious condition.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by Tasmania Police.  Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw either of the vehicles prior to the crash are encouraged to contact Senior Constable Troy Smith of Northern Road and Public Order Services on 6336 3925.
