At approximately 18:23 hours on Monday 21 March 2011 Bridgewater police attended a rural
address at Tea Tree.

A 74 year old man had been found crushed under the back wheels of his farm tractor. A
family member raised the alarm. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by members
of the Tasmanian Ambulance Service.

The tractor was fitted with a plough and had been ploughing down hill on a steep incline.

The tractor had gone off its path and through a wire fence and into a neighbouring paddock.

The scene was attended by members from Bridgewater, Forensic Services, Accident
Investigation Services, and Bellerive Criminal Investigation Branch.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
