Detectives from the Devonport CIB have today charged three people for offences relating to the fire at the Mersey Valley Workers Club that occurred overnight on Wednesday 15^th June 2016.

A 19 year old woman has been charged with Arson, and a 26 year old man has been charged with unlawfully setting fire to property. Both have been held to appear in an out of hours court at the Devonport Magistrates Court.

A 16 year old girl has also been charged with unlawfully setting fire to property and is being proceeded against under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
