Three in custody over firearms incident
Three people are in custody and assisting police with their inquiries following a shooting in Rokeby early this morning.
Police and ambulance services were called to a residence in Arden Drive, Rokeby, about 5.45am.
A 29 year old Rokeby man was found at the address. The man was taken to the RHH having suffered a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. The man underwent surgery and is in a serious but stable condition.
The scene was attended by Detectives from Bellerive CIB and Forensics Services.
A firearm, believed to have been used in the shooting was located by detectives near the scene.
The victim and the three people in custody were known to each other.
The investigation is continuing and formal charges are expected to be laid later this evening.
