Taxi robbery, Claremont
On the 13th of November 2010 at about 4am an armed robbery was committed upon a taxi driver in Wyndham Rd, Claremont. The offender was a passenger in the taxi and was picked up from outside the Caltex Service Station in Glenorchy. He was driven to Wyndham Rd, Claremont where he threatened the male driver with a knife before stealing a quantity of cash.
The offender then fled from the taxi.
Police would like to speak to the man depicted in the images. He is described as aged in his 20s, 5ft 10in, medium build, fair complexion, brown eyes with an Australian accent. At the time of the incident he was wearing a white hooded top and black and white cap.
