Police are investigating two separate incidents involving taxis this evening.

About 9.30pm a taxi driver called police in relation to an incident in Glenorchy in which he was threatened by a female passenger.  

The 30 year old woman from Glenorchy was arrested and charged with assault and possessing a dangerous article. She was detained in custody overnight to appear in the Hobart CPS on the 20th of July 2022. 

And earlier this evening, a taxi driver reported being threatened by three passengers about 6.45pm in Glenorchy before the group caused damage to his taxi.  

The driver had collected the two females and a male from the Kmart Plaza in New Town.

Investigations are continuing.
