Tasmania Police are attending the Shoreline Shopping Centre where a suspicious package has been located in the car park.

An area of the car park has been cordoned off as a precaution and the car park has been evacuated.

A section of Clarence Street is closed from Howrah Road to Clarence Joint Therapy (273 Clarence Street).
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
A man is in custody and is assisting Tasmania Police with enquiries.
